Silicon Valley Startup, OffMyServer, shuns traditional Venture Capital methods.

San Jose, CA November 13, 2003 -- In an effort to raise funds to further grow an established internet infrastructure business, OffMyServer, a one year old tech startup nestled in the famous golden triangle of Silicon Valley, surprises Venture Capital firms by offering limited investment to private investors.

"We've proven that we can make it in tough times," states Michael Lauth, CEO of OffMyServer. "As the economy picks up, analysts predict huge revenue potential in the areas of development that we have targeted."

In its first year of business, OffMyServer did 1.1 million dollars in revenue with less than 10 full time employees. The company has a 5,000 square foot manufacturing and development facility in San Jose, California.

Their customers include Juniper Networks, Envivio, About.com, and the U.S. Navy.

The limited investment offering consists of 25% of the privately held company in 1% increments of $75,000 dollars each. This will give OffMyServer nearly 2 million dollars to focus on marketing their new product line, hiring new personnel, and completing development on several new internet appliances.

Besides internet servers, OffMyServer manufactures a unique security appliance that protects a network from attacks and manages network bandwidth usage. The company has plans to expand their FreeBSD based network appliance line to include a DNS management appliance, a clustering appliance, and a web hosting appliance.

"FreeBSD is a Unix like server operating system that is an excellent alternative to Linux," says Matt Olander, CTO. "With all that's going on with Linux right now, many companies are considering migrating from their current operating system to FreeBSD. In the near future, FreeBSD usage may even surpass Linux. According to Netcraft, http://www.netcraft.com, active sites using FreeBSD are already on the rise."

With their growing reputation as a FreeBSD based company, strategic partnerships, and strong ties to the FreeBSD community, OffMyServer is in an excellent position to become the leading advocate for one of the biggest competitors to Linux, the FreeBSD operating system.

OffMyServer is able to make this offer to gauge investment interest in their company through an SEC exemption for small businesses.
